Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: Export-import activities between Bangladesh and India through Hili land port will remain suspended for six days on the occasion of upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr, Pahela Baisakh celebration.
Also, all activities including loading and unloading of goods at the port will be closed.
However, the movement of passport holder passengers between Bangladesh and India through Hili immigration check post will be normal.
Hili Land Port Import and Export Group General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman confirmed it through a letter.
He said that the port will be closed from April 9 to April 13 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, and on April 14 for Pahela Boishakh. The import-export will resume from April 15 (Monday).
Hili Immigration Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Ashraful Islam said that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, import and export through Hili land port will be closed, but the movement of passport holders between Bangladesh and India will be normal through the immigration check post.
