Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against 23 individuals, including former Bangladesh Bank Governor Atiur Rahman and economist Abul Barakat, on charge of embezzling Tk 287 crore through the Enntex Group.
Md Nazmul Hussain, deputy director of ACC's Dhaka integrated district office, lodged the case on Thursday.
A senior official of the anti-graft body confirmed about the case filing.
According to the case statement, Tk 287 crore was misappropriated from Janata Bank in the name of Enntex Group.
In 2022, the ACC closed the case as found no sufficient evidence of loan irregularities, it was learnt.
