News Desk, Bangladesh Global: Another 46 members of Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) have entered Bangladesh through Bandarban's Naikhongchhari border.
Quoting local people, law enforcement agencies said that the BGP members have been taken shelter in Bangladesh due to the ongoing conflict between the Myanmar military and the armed rebel group in Myanmar's Rakhine.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) disarmed the 46 BGP members, who came on Tuesday night, and took them into custody with the older 12 others.
BGB public relations officer (PRO) Md Shariful Islam confirmed this to media on Wednesday morning.
With them, 260 BGP members are currently under BGB custody, he added.
