Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed and two passengers of the vehicle were injured after its overturned in the capital's Hatirjheel area on Monday afternoon. The accident took place at around 4:00pm near My TV office in the area.
The deceased was identified as Ashraf Hossain, 42. According to witnesses, Ashraf lost control over the vehicle and overturned when as the front wheel of the auto-rickshaw came off.
Ashraf sustained head injuries and was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the physicians declared him dead, said DMCH Police Outpost in-charge Inspector Bachchu Mia. The body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy and legal action has been taken in this regard, added the police official.
