News Desk, Bangladesh Global: Adani Power has continued to meet Bangladesh's electricity demand, despite a technical issue that forced one of its units to shut down on Tuesday.

Adani officials confirmed that the company supplied 750MW of power to Bangladesh on Wednesday and 769MW on Thursday, utilizing an alternative unit.

Following the shutdown, Adani adhered to standard communication protocols, keeping the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and the Power Grid Company Bangladesh (PGCB) informed.

While technical faults are unfortunate, they are a common occurrence in power plants worldwide, including those in Bangladesh operated by both local and foreign entities. To ensure a steady power supply, systems are designed with excess capacity to handle such disruptions.

"We regret any inconvenience caused by this technical fault," an Adani spokesperson stated. "We are working diligently to resolve the issue and restore full power generation capacity as soon as possible."
