Bogura, Banglaesh Global: A local Swechchhasebak Dal leader was hacked to death reportedly by his rivals in Bogura's Sadar upazila on Monday night.

The incident happened around 9:00 PM in front of the Gokul union Parishad in the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Mizanur Rahman Mizan, 37, son of Afsar Ali, a resident of Gokul area in the upazila. He was supporter of Bipul, suspended president of Gokul union Jubo Dal.

It was learnt that Mizan along with others 6-7 people was chatting in the area. Then, around 8-10 miscreants riding on motorcycle went there and attacked on them with sharp weapons when there was no electricity, leaving Mizan critically injured.

Later, locals rescued him and took him to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

On the other hand, Mizan's supporters beat and hacked Ledu alleging that Bipul group was involved with the attack on Mizan.

Police rescued Dulu in a critical condition and took him to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital, where he was again beaten by the Mizan's supporters.

Later, Dulu succumbed to his injuries around 11:00 in the hospital.
