Barishal, Bangladesh Global: A fire broke out on the ground floor of medicine unit of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College's in Barishal on Sunday morning.
Nine fire fighting units are working to bring the fire under control.
The blaze originated around 9:30AM.
When the fire news spread, many patients and their relatives left the building in fear.
The patients are evacuating safely. Cotton kept in that room of the medicine unit caught fire which caused heavy smoke, said Barishal Fire Service and Civil Defence assistant director Helal Uddin.
