News Desk, Bangladesh Global: The Biman Bangladesh Airlines fight carrying BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Thursday morning. The flight BG-102 taking Tarique and his entourage landed at the airport at 9:57am while it took off London’s Heathrow Airport around 12:23 am (BST).
To welcome the party acting chairman, leaders and supporters gathered at the airport.
After an hour stopover, the flight will depart the airport and land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:50 am. Senior BNP leaders, activists and supporters are set to receive him at the Dhaka airport. Tarique is travelling with his wife, Zubaida Rahman, his daughter, Barrister Zaima Rahman and other personal aides.
Upon arriving in Dhaka, Tarique is to be received by the BNP Standing Committee members. From there, he will proceed to the reception venue via the July Expressway, also known as the 300-Feet road, where he will thank party leaders and activists and address the nation, and later visit his mother, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital at Bashundhara.
