News Desk, Bangladesh Global: The United Kingdom Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Indo-Pacific Seema Malhotra paid a courtesy call on Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna here today.
British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke and Senior Secretary for SDG Affairs Lamiya Morshed were also present, on the occasion, said the Chief Adviser's Press Wing this afternoon.
Seema Malhotra will also represent the UK in the swearing-in ceremony of the new BNP-led Government by Tarique Rahman, which is being attended by several foreign dignitaries and world leaders. The interim government had invited heads of government from more than a dozen countries, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, along with foreign ministers from several other nations.
