Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah Zafer Bin Abiyah today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. He met the PM in the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat at around 11 AM.
The Prime Minister conveyed his respectful regards to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as to the Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman. During the meeting, they discussed existing friendly relations and the issues of mutual interest between the two Muslim countries.
The ambassador congratulated Tarique Rahman on assuming office and expressed hope that ties between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh would be further strengthened. They also discussed the upcoming Hajj, the press secretary added. Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and the Prime Minister's adviser Humayun Kabir were present in the meeting.
Earlier, the Prime Minister came to his Cabinet Division office at 9 AM while his Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar received him.
