Natore, Bangladesh Global: Natore BNP convenor Md Shahidul Islam Bachchu was hacked miscreants while going to join the party's pre-scheduled rally for Chairperson Khaleda Zia's unconditional release.
BNP-bacled Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) former mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul and six others were also injured as miscreants exploded cocktails and opened fire on them.
The supporters of local Awmi League lawmaker attacked on the BNP leaders and activists at about 9:30am. They were going to join a rally organised by the BNP. Shahidul Islam Bachchu was hacked and beat up in front of Natore Government High School on his way to to BNP office."
Locals rescued him and took to Natore Sadar Hospital. Later he was shifted to to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
Subsequently, ruling party supporters launched an assault on the rally, injuring Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul and six others, he added.
Denying the allegation, district Awami League general secretary Shariful Islam Ramjan said that the attackers are not Jubo League.
