Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: A court in Dhaka on Wednesday framed charges against Nobel Laureate economist Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus and 13 others in a case filed over misappropriation of about Tk 25.22 crore of Grameen Telecom Workers' Profit Participation Fund.
Now, there is no legal bar to start the trial in the case.
Judge Syed Arafat Hossain of the Special Judge's Court-4 of Dhaka framed the charges dismissing the acquittal petition of the accused.
Earlier on June 2, Yunus's lawyer sought acquittal for Dr Yunus in the case during the hearing. Later, the court fixed today to pass its order.
