News Desk, Bangladesh Global: A Rohingya youth reportedly shot dead by miscreants in Kutupalong camp under Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Monday night.
The deceased was Jalil, son of Mohammad Kamal Hossain of camp no. 4 under F-12 block of Kutupalong.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhiya police station Shamim Hossain said some unidentified people took the youth to a hill after calling him out of the house around 7pm.
They beat him and fired at Jalil on the hill, he said.
Locals rescued him and took him to a hospital inside the Rohingya camp where physicians declared him dead, he said adding that the body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
They were trying to identify those who were involved in the murder.
