Rajshahi, Bangladesh Global: The interim government will not do anything that creates controversy, said Religious affairs adviser AFM Khalid Hossain on Saturday.

"We are not thinking about changing of national anthem."

Regarding attacks on mosques, temples, and shrines, Khalid Hossain said, "Attacks on mosques, temples, and shrines are heinous things. Those who attack religious places, are enemies of humanity. They are criminals. They will be brought to book."

He said these to reporters after visiting Rajshahi Islamic Foundation on Saturday.

"Madrasa students will guard in front of the temples across the country alongwith the local people to ensure security during the upcoming Durga Puja. The madrasa students were not involved in any militant activities. This is only a propaganda and conspiracy of the former government."
