Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is scheduled to leave Dhaka for London on December 29 for medical treatment.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir confirmed the news on Sunday night, stating, "We hope that if everything goes as planned, she will travel to London on December 29. Four to five doctors will accompany Madam, and preparations have already been completed."
Sources reveal that if no new health complications arise, Khaleda Zia will depart for London on a daytime flight on Sunday, December 29. Among those accompanying her are members of the medical board, including Dr. Shahabuddin and her personal physician, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.
Previously, on October 29, Professor Zahid Hossain had stated, "For advanced treatment, Khaleda Zia will first be taken to London in a long-distance specialized air ambulance. From there, she will be transported to a multidisciplinary medical center in a third country."
