News Desk, Bangladesh Global: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman reached London's Heathrow Airport tonight. He reached the airport at around 10:15pm Bangladesh time, accompanied by his wife, Zubaida Rahman, and daughter, Zaima Rahman.
Earlier, at about 8:00pm Bangladesh time, he left his London residence for the airport with his family members. Local BNP leaders and activists gathered at the airport upon his arrival. Tarique is scheduled to depart Heathrow for Dhaka on a regular Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at around 12:15am Bangladesh time.
Upon arriving in Dhaka, Tarique is to be received by BNP Standing Committee members. From there, he will proceed to the reception venue via the July Expressway, also known as the 300-Feet road, where he will thank party leaders and activists and address the nation, and later visit his mother, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, at Evercare Hospital at Bashundhara.
