Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today afternoon for the reception venue at July Expressway, also known as 300 feet road in a bus draped in red and green, reflecting the national flag.
Tarique boarded the special bus around 12:40 pm heading towards the 300 Feet area in Dhaka where a reception by party leaders and supporters was arranged. He left the airport at 12:33 pm after a reception from members of the BNP Standing Committee members.
Standing at the front of the bus Tarique waved to the thousands of BNP activists and supporters gathered to welcome him. The bus was closely guarded by law enforcement personnel throughout the journey.
Tarique Rahman finally returned to homeland as he arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here around 11.40am by a regular Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. Earlier, the flight departed from London's Heathrow Airport at 6.15pm (London Time) on Wednesday and touched down at Sylhet airport at 09:56am en route to Dhaka.
