Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka today congratulated the people of Bangladesh on the successful conduct of the 13th National Parliamentary Election and expressed readiness to work with the new BNP government.
“Congratulations to the people of Bangladesh on the smooth and successful 13th National Parliamentary Election and to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party for taking the lead in the elections,” Chinese embassy in Dhaka said in a statement. “We look forward to working together with the new government of Bangladesh and writing new chapters of China-Bangladesh relations,” they added.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has secured a decisive victory in the 13th national parliamentary election, where it is leading decisively in over 200 constituencies throughout the nation, putting the party on course for a two-thirds majority. As a result, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is going to take over as the country's next Prime Minister.
