News Desk, Bangladesh Global: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed in key points of Dhaka and Gazipur to maintain law and order, ease traffic congestion, and ensure smooth public movement ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
Shariful Islam, public relations officer of BGB, said BGB personnel have been stationed in Dhaka’s New Market area, the Elevated Expressway, Savar’s Nabinagar and Baipail, Gazipur City Corporation and Gazipur Chourasta.
The deployment, made under government directives, aims to ensure safe and uninterrupted Eid travel and to assist executive magistrates in conducting mobile court operations at toll plazas, highways and congestion-prone areas. BGB personnel will remain on duty from seven days before Eid until three days after the festival, Shariful added.
